In a country that ate rice three times a day, three women opened a small restaurant in Magallanes and served pancakes instead. It should not have worked.
Milagros Basa, Leticia Zamora and Carmen Zaragosa opened the first Pancake House in Manila with a short menu and a stubborn idea: make one thing properly and people will come back for it. They did. The Ayala Arcade branch followed, then United Nations Avenue, then a generation of Filipinos who measure their childhood in stacks of two or three.
The menu grew the way a family kitchen grows. Tacos arrived. Pan Chicken arrived and quietly took over. Tapa, tinapa, palabok and sisig came in because that is what people actually wanted at 8am. Fifty-odd years later the batter has not changed, and neither has the point of the place.
Dubai is now part of that. Our BurJuman branch serves the same recipes to a room that is mostly Filipino, mostly homesick, and mostly here for the Pan Chicken. Kain na.

Yes. Every branch of Pancake House UAE serves halal food only. The bacon on our breakfast platters is beef bacon, and no pork or alcohol is served.

On the Ground Level of BurJuman Centre, Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Street, Al Mankhool, Bur Dubai. The BurJuman Metro Station on the Red and Green Line is a two minute walk away.
Does Pancake House serve Filipino food?
Yes. Alongside the pancakes and waffles we serve Filipino favourites including Beef Tapa, Chicken Sisig, Daing na Bangus, Smoked Tinapa, Palabok Bihon, Kare Kare and Halo-Halo Jubilee. All rice meals come with steamed or garlic rice.
